Founder | Personal Trainer

I was born, and grew up, on the bank of Lake d’Orta, in the north of Italy. I started to be interested in yoga at age 18, during my last year of Liceo (I was study classical languages, when I went to an Hatha yoga class in my little town, Omegna (VB).

Bruna was my first yoga teacher, bringing me to meditate and open a bit the door of yoga. This early practice in my life let me already feeling more concentrated, more calm and grounded. But the door was heavy and beyond an infinite and blinding space for the young Monica. After my bachelor in Literature and Philology, I  moved to London. There I had found my path, not just curiosity but a sincere love for yoga. In the pursuit of deep spirituality, the Jivamukti studio in London was a place of both physical and inner elevation. It was 2011.

In 2015 I moved back to Italy and, not finding Jivamukti, I embarked on the initial journey of Sharon and David: the Ashtanga Yoga. So I participated at AshtangaYTT in Bologna, but after two year of study and practicing Ashtanga, I felt that something was missing, something great and powerful that Jivamukti embodies. In 2022 I finally made my London dream come true, becoming a Jivamukti teacher.

Jivamukti Teaching Training taken in attendance in spring 2022 in Salento, discovering a complete, complex but accessible method thanks to the masters Yogeswar, Moritz Ulrich and the mentors Andrea Kiatkowski and Niklas Noack.

In the fall of the same year she moved to Stavanger to be able to practice at Jivamukti studio Of Stavanger, going deeper in her practice and yoga understanding through the support and inspiration of satsang (yoga community). She completed the 800hrs Jivamukti teaching program, under the guidance of her precious and inspiring mentor Tone Kristin Haugland, in December 2023.
